Happy Birthday Chaplin Bear!

Since we started the week off talking about Spike and Rocky, why not finish the week off with my pup, also known as Chaplin Bear, Baby Zirl, Monkey Mouse, Zchoo Zchoo Zchoo, Little Pup (to name a few)…and yes, she responds to all. Heck, I could say hamburger in my silly voice and she’d respond.

So, I decided to wrap up the week with a post about her because this is her birthday weekend! Shandy (my husband, yes that’s his real name!) and I have been planning all week how to celebrate our little bear. No, we do not have kids, yes, Chaplin is our baby.

Two years ago, Shandy drove to Charleston to pick up this little rescue. She has brought us more laughs than I can ever imagine, and cost us quite some money because of her obsession with remotes (14 remotes down) and pillows (so many that I can’t remember…it’s like she is creating her own little winter wonderland).

We have always adopted older rescue dogs because we feel strongly that they need a home and should have lots of extra love as they approach their final years. But, there was something about this crazy girl that we fell in love with and decided we should get a 13 week old puppy.

We got Chaplin from Brian Foster, and I can’t say enough nice things about his dedication and love of animals. He rescues, fosters, volunteers and has built a Sanctuary to save animals. We are so thankful that Brian let Chaplin become a King, but she’s really the Queen!

There are so many loving animals that needs homes and lots of rescue organizations, so keep them in mind the next time you are adopting a pet!
