Vixen Vodka

The Vixens have been doing a lot of road trips lately.  We’re not really Ride or Die chicks . . . we have a lot of questions:  how long is this road trip?  will there be food?  we’re not really going to die are we?  when will there be cocktails?

We have a lot of adventures on our travels.  We’ve been pulled over, no ticket was given, in fact, we got a motivational speech from the trooper, “you girls are gonna make it!”  We’ve made new friends from the ladies at a bar in Charleston who were celebrating being cancer free, to a party celebrating long time girlfriends  . .  . .

 

 

to the guys in St. Simons who just won the BBQ competition at the Festival and one of us did cannonballs in the pool with them (yes, we got asked to leave) . . .

 

 

to some street characters in New Orleans that we can’t even talk about – but by far, our biggest adventure was rescuing this little guy from the median of I16 as semis were whizzing by.  He is Harold the Wonder Dog!!  (one of Vixen’s four unofficial mascots along with Chaplin, Sophie and Clyde:)

 

 

We’ve visited our fair share of bars and liquor stores preaching this Vixen gospel.  Typically, everyone is very very nice.  From the guy who had a sign behind his desk, “oh no not another $%^&ing Vodka” (but he ended up carrying Vixen!), to the liquor store in a location that shall not be named with bars on the windows.  That particular retailer had us do a taste test with a member of a local gang.  We can proudly say we are the official vodka of that group now:)  We have been to establishments where we have had to keep our eyes averted from the main stage.  Vixen Vodka is very popular there:) We’ve met amazing people who each have their own unique story.  The best part of this ‘job’ by far are the relationships we’ve formed.

 

Thankfully, we travel well together.  We like leaving the tv on in our room with either HGTV playing or an old episode of The Golden Girls.  We both make an effort to continue our fitness routine on the road (most of the time:), we take turns driving (one of us drives like a little old lady, one of us drives like a race car driver, not naming names). . . . we’ve stayed everywhere from a luxurious suite in a 5 star resort to a no tell motel where we propped a chair up against the door to a hotel where we ended up on the balcony five times during the night because of a fire alarm.  But I’m sure you know our favorite place to stay is the beach!

 

 

 

This week we just got back from a whirlwind trip to St. Simons where Vixen was featured at a fabulous event with a side trip to Hilton Head for a business meeting.  Next week we are off to the Big Apple!  Watch out NYC the Vixens are getting ready to invade!
