Vixen Vodka

So not sure if y’all heard or not but we had a little snow last week. Being snowed in down here in the sunny South, made for a catch-up-on-reading kinda day. I read articles from Richard Branson to Arnold Schwarzengger to  Umair Haque of the Harvard Business Review to Carrie Morrey of Callie’s Charleston Biscuits and then I went back and re-read Alli Webb’s Business Success Secrets Interview on Tin Shingle. (Tin Shingle is a great  online resource for small businesses to get real insight into how to get the word out about their business and navigate the world of PR/SEO/OLA – all those cool initials.) It was also a very fun day for sampling some new Vixen cocktails. I’m pretty sure that all these inspirational stories started with . . . .

I know I’m inspired by each and every one. Richard Branson elevates me with his advice every day on Twitter. Umair Haque reminded me to make every day count. Arnold’s commencement speech should really be required reading for each graduate no matter how you feel about his political affiliation OR his movies !:) Carrie is a doll and makes damn good biscuits and I always check out her blog for advice on leading a balanced life (and delicious recipes!)

And oh how I love Drybar, I love the concept, I love the look, I love the pampering. If you haven’t gone, run! It doesn’t have to be a special occasion, you’re the special occasion. And you deserve to have beachy waves today:) In Alli’s words, “What we’re really selling is self-esteem.”

Alli is a #truevixen. She saw a need and met it (kinda like a certain vodka company). She also is focused on one thing only – hair (kinda like a certain vodka company). And by giving women a fabulous look (for less), her business has grown and grown (now you see why she’s our hero). Alli’s advice and tips (especially the Chambray Tens!! LOL) gave me real and down-to-earth perspectives on starting and growing your passion.

After reading about Alli,  I was #inspired to come up with a signature cocktail for drybar – I mean, c’mon! Their blowouts are named after cocktails!!!! Their most popular style is the COSMOPOLITAN!!! How much more of a perfect fit is Vixen Vodka for this????

I give you the Dare to Reveal You aka DRYbar martini . . . .

1.5 oz Vixen Vodka

splash Pear Nectar

splash Elderflower Liqueur

Shake all over ice, then pour into chilled martini glass.

Top with splash of icy Prosecco and garnish with slice of lemon

Have a cocktail and then go out and be inspiring y’all!!!
